As I launch my campaign for Boston City Council in 2011, the upcoming United States Senate Special Election here in Massachusetts provided all of us in the Commonwealth the first time in almost a half of a century, we will be able to vote for a new Senator. It didn't matter which party or candidate you supported. The most important thing is that as citizens, we had the opportunity to exercise our power of democracy by choosing a strong leader to represent our needs here in the commonwealth down in Washington DC.
